Porcelain pizza plate, diameter 31.5 cm, holds pizzas up to 29 cm in diameter, made of particularly robust hotel porcelain with a shallow rim. This pizza plate is characterised by the fact that its extremely flat shape makes it perfect for cutting pizza with a pizza wheel, pizza knife or pizza cutter. The rim should be kept as small as possible to maximise the pizza plate's capacity. Delicately raised rims, as found on almost all menu plates, are rather unsuitable for serving pizzas and restrict the serving area too much. On such plates, the pizza quickly takes on the appearance of an unsightly bath mat with raised edges. A pizza should be served horizontally in a line and should not extend beyond the edge of the plate, nor should it rise upwards due to a coup shape.
