Professional catering plates
Catering, i.e. the permanent mobile supply of plates for events, places the highest demands on physical stability and surface resistance. Plates in the catering business have to be able to ‘really withstand a lot!’
This is not only a question of the stability of the body (plate), but also of corrosion resistance to cuts, shearing and aggressive detergents. Vitreous porcelain is superior to porcelain in terms of physical resistance, but cannot guarantee the stability of the glaze as reliably as porcelain. In our opinion, ceramic plates, bone china and stoneware are not suitable for use in professional catering due to their general sensitivity.
