Motif & Christmas spoons

Since 2003, Christmas spoons have been a sought-after item in our Christmas collection. Unfortunately, it is becoming increasingly difficult to produce them each year.

In a new edition of the original series from 2003, we will once again be offering the angel, Santa Claus, fir tree, moon, star, rose and cat motifs in the highest quality pure white feldspar porcelain from October 2025 onwards. Beautiful white motif spoons, colour-coordinated with all pure white cups, mugs and plates. Please note the item code ML1xx.

Gift ideas for Christmas

In keeping with the theme and occasion of ‘Christmas’, we would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to our special ‘Gift Ideas’ page, where we have compiled a large selection of gifts in all price ranges for ladies, gentlemen, children and amateur chefs.

Auriel Christmas stars

Stars and fir trees are probably among the most beautiful motifs for Christmas dishes.Filled with biscuits, desserts or even starters, they create a different look for every meal and every day.

Auriel is one of two star series from Holst Porzellan and gives its name to the five-pointed constellations. Below, we show you how to use these star-shaped side plates, decorate them and combine them with everyday porcelain. 

The beauty of Holst's Christmas porcelain is that it can also be used on many other occasions, either individually or together.

Aurora Christmas stars

Named after the Aurora Australis northern lights, this six-pointed star series will be launched in winter 2025, adding important components to the variety of winter Christmas food presentations that we have had to do without until now. 

The 27 cm shell plate in particular, with its six rays and the serving area of a medium-sized plate, offers space for tarts, cakes, starters, desserts and smaller main courses.

The 30 cm star bowl with a capacity of 1,000 ml serves salads, large dessert portions and all kinds of filling side dishes for several people. 

The small star bowls can be harmoniously integrated into any decorative concept as tea lights. Four of them with a little decoration on a platter or plate make a space-saving Advent wreath and can of course also be used to serve Christmas appetisers. 

Nobilis fir bark

The most noble of all fir trees is not the Nordmann fir, which is so popular in Germany, but the South Pacific Nobilis silver fir.

Made from fine white feldspar porcelain and fired at over 1,320 °C, these festive fir tree bowls certainly deserve the most elegant of names.

Currently, two sizes are available, which can of course be beautifully combined and varied with the Aurora and Auriel star bowls. They offer plenty of space for your Christmas menu and a wide range of sweet treats. 

Porcelain tins for Christmas baking

For everyone who finds Christmas - quite literally - a bit of a biscuit, we dedicate our trio of storage tins in 300, 600 and 1,200 ml sizes.

Homemade biscuits not only keep longer and better in these porcelain tins with lids, but also look much nicer.

They are particularly suitable as a wonderful gift when giving away homemade biscuits. And once the Christmas biscuits have been eaten, you are left with attractive kitchen storage jars for tea, coffee and all kinds of spices and ingredients for cooking, baking and enjoying.

Turkish Christmas

Since the 1950s, our Turkish fellow citizens in particular have shown us that Christmas can be celebrated very festively even without a Christmas tree, nativity scene or poinsettia.

Whether it is because of the gifts or the cold, melancholic season that we brighten up with lights and candles, the majority of our Turkish fellow citizens also celebrate Christmas in their own way with friends and family.

For this occasion, it can be something special, such as cay tea served in a festive porcelain cup or baklava, şekerpare, revani, tulumba and many other Ottoman delicacies served on a tiered cake stand. 

Here are some suggestions for a festive Turkish Christmas.

Fire safety notice

In 2023, the German Federal Statistical Office recorded 6,000 cases of fire damage caused by Advent wreath fires, with total damages amounting to €27 million. The average damage per residential unit was €4,700.

A simple pizza plate made of hard porcelain, used as a base for your Advent wreath, can prevent a fire! Not only does it protect your furniture from dripping wax, it also significantly reduces the risk of fire. What's more, the plate also makes it easier to remove the needles.A really stupid idea is to put a newspaper under the Advent wreath! 

And the best thing about these ‘fireproof pizza plates’ is that these flat, round plates can be used all year round and are really very versatile!

Decoration tip for restaurateurs

Porcelain Gastronorm trays, especially sizes GN 2/4-20 and GN 1/3-20, can be decorated beautifully for Christmas with candles (you don't always have to light them...), fir branches and Christmas decorations.
