Strawberry trifle moulds

A strawberry bake differs from a strawberry cake in terms of texture. Whilst the cake has a firm base, the strawberry bake is an oven-baked, creamy mixture. Typical strawberry bakes can be eaten with a spoon and are usually served as a fruity dessert. Strawberry bakes turn out particularly well in slightly shallower, rectangular ovenproof dishes. We recommend the Easy baking tins for a successful strawberry bake, as they are particularly attractive and feature side handles. 

Terry's Strawberry Milkshake Cup

Strawberry compote – a traditional Nordic dish

We Germans probably have the centuries-long Danish rule over parts of Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg to thank for the fact that the traditional summer dish strawberry compote with milk and rusks is so popular. Those who prefer a richer version can top the fruit compote with whipped cream and fresh strawberries. As a garnish, especially for children and those with a sweet tooth, the whole dish is sprinkled with chocolate sprinkles or chocolate shavings.

As, according to Nordic tradition, strawberry porridge is served as a meal rather than a dessert, a standard soup plate is not large enough to serve the typical porridge with milk and rusks. Suitable porridge bowls start at 0.60 litres and often go up to 1.2 litres.

Aside from its capacity, a good fruit compote dish should have steeper sides to help you scoop up the strawberry and rusk pieces with a spoon. Just in time for this year’s strawberry season, we have three suggestions for you: the top three dishes for strawberry and fruit compotes.
