Skagen - High Alumina Porcelain

The modern minimalist porcelain series Skagen combines Nordic design with a mix of white and noble grey. Due to its flagless design, the plates and bowls of Skagen offer a maximum serving area in a compact space. The series offers a total of 132 design variations in Mix & Match.

This tableware is primarily dedicated to youthful, modern lightness with an emphasis on high multifunctionality. The form language is developed based on the Scandinavian design avant-garde of the 1950s. The result is tableware that merges the square of the circle and has evolved into a completely new, independent design.

The consistent, flat design of the plates and platters provides a perfectly flat surface without losing serving area through borders or rims. A discreet stacking rim, rising at a 90° angle, ensures the stability of dishes and sauces on the flat pieces, serves as a stacking edge at mise-en-place, and thus guarantees perfect suitability for gastronomy. The grip of the plates and platters is especially important, making placement easier. Skagen offers plenty of space for food – but none for fingerprints.

Skagen is made from a very special porcelain. However, due to the COVID-19 crisis and the subsequent war in Ukraine, the supply of this particular type of kaolin is unfortunately no longer possible, so we must unfortunately discontinue this beautiful series.
