Description
The Melody series is a modern porcelain design with a wave relief, which is particularly emphasised by the subtle cream-white feldspar porcelain in its radiance and grace.
Designed and developed by Holst Porcelain, the realisation of music emerged in delicate white. Derived from the meaning of a melody, a striking wave relief in horizontal, sequential lines in rising and falling pitches encloses the porcelain elements and forms the central design element of the Melody series.
The fine porcelain shards were hardened by natural, mineral additives, giving the delicate porcelain a high degree of stability. Instead of the radiant white that characterises Holst porcelain, Melody is produced in a very subtle cream-white tone, which emphasises the expression of the melodically undulating porcelain relief without losing the property of combined use with conventional porcelain.
Melody combines a modern design with a slightly playful touch on the surface, creating a very unique and pleasant character that gives the food served on it a sophisticated setting. Melody is a porcelain range that is suitable for both private and commercial use and meets the visual requirements of fine porcelain for special occasions, without sacrificing usability and resistance in everyday use. Melody is a porcelain series that combines very modern flat parts with a relief and the requirements of stackability. And true to the Holst Porcelain motto ‘Simple & Strong’ at an affordable price. The series will be launched in spring 2024 with a total of six plates, consisting of the respective main sizes for breakfast, main courses, soup and a place setting, rounded off by an extravagant 22 cm gourmet plate. The beverage service includes two sizes of jug, a stackable universal cup and a drinking cup. For soup, cereals and desserts, Melody starts with a soup cup and a 400ml universal bowl, and for table service there is an oval 31cm meat and serving platter.
