Kanton - square porcelain
The Kanton porcelain series is one of four shapes from the YoYo design line, which consists of the square shapes Kanton and Osaka and the rectangular shapes Hong Kong and Shanghai. Kanton describes a flat, straight square shape with a discreetly rising, rimless rim. This is why these plates and platters can also be categorised in the large group of coup plates.
Canton plates can not only be used as dinner plates in the sizes bread plates, breakfast plates, centre plates, menu plates and menu platters, but also as buffet and warming plates. The square shape means that mosaics of any size can be created, both lengthways and crossways. Square plates and platters are far more space-saving than round ones for prepared food, e.g. in refrigeration and transport. All Kanto plates are equipped with a flat base and are therefore also suitable for use on contact heating & cooling elements.
In addition to their high level of functionality, Kanto plates offer a successful change from conventional round plates and are particularly suitable for serving side dishes, sauces and different food components separately on a table.
All items in the YoYo collection, the Kanto square plates are made of sturdy hard porcelain, are dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe and offer all the advantages of high-quality feldspar porcelain.
