Qing Hua Ci is one of the oldest porcelain decorations in the world, dating back to a time before the invention of German porcelain. The porcelain was created in accordance with the original designs of the Ming dynasty and has been used to serve traditional Chinese cuisine for hundreds of years. Qing Hua Ci represents one of the final applications of the underglaze method for cobalt painting. The pure cobalt colour is meticulously hand-painted onto the pre-hardened body and then fired under the glaze. This process ensures that each piece is unique and original. Holst Porzellan has been the proud owner of this traditional crockery since 2016. As a specialist in hotel and catering tableware and admirers of the Chinese porcelain tradition, it is an honour for us to have this traditional tableware in our collection.

Traditional Chinese restaurants and the many friends of Asian cuisine enjoy this rare and high-quality manufactory porcelain. The underglaze production process ensures the decoration has an unlimited lifespan and is resistant to any stress caused by detergents or temperatures. Qing Hua Ci is equally durable, suitable for commercial use and robust as our white hard porcelain!

Please note: the blue decorative colour is obtained from real cobalt oxide. Although the decoration is completely covered by the glaze, we do not recommend using the crockery in the microwave.
