Second choice
At Holst Porzellan, we consider sustainability to mean that we do not simply destroy the second-choice porcelain in our collections or push it into export markets. Instead, we offer it to consumers for whom a minor defect is of no consequence. It is our policy to offer our customers the best possible value for money. We therefore reserve the right to make minor imperfections in our products available to our customers at a favourable price.
In the event sector, at parties and major events, our customers can rest assured that our tableware is free from any defects. Our porcelain is suitable for a wide range of events, including Wacken, Oktoberfest, Wasen, Fasching & Karneval, folk festivals, funfairs and many other occasions. It may have a glazed nose or a few spots, but this does not affect its quality or suitability for use. In hostels, on tables and in huts, the loss of a piece of crockery should not cause major damage.
Our B grade porcelain is of second choice quality and exhibits only minor defects that do not affect its usability. The glaze may display irregularities such as gradients, pinholes, small dots or very small iron stains. Similarly, the body may exhibit slight deformations. Please note that taught porcelain (system crockery) is no longer stackable, and cocottes and tureens do not close completely tightly.
