Slate mould

Trendy hosts are always looking for something special. They want new materials, unusual shapes, colours and glazes. Natural stones such as slate and basalt are particularly in vogue for stylish food presentation with a special kick.

Real stone slabs are not hygienic, heavy and unwieldy. We have developed crockery that matches the visual impression of natural slate and ensures the physical and hygienic stability required for the use of food and foodstuffs (in accordance with LFGB and FDA) in every respect. The "Slate Design" collection is the result. We produce it in three versions.

- White slate porcelain from professional porcelain
- Black slate hard ceramic with matt glaze
- Black slate hard ceramic with glossy glaze.

Each of these qualities has a special application property, which we describe in detail in the respective articles. There is no doubt that compared to natural slate, all three qualities offer decisive advantages when used as food contact materials.

The matt version is not cut-resistant and is therefore unsuitable for all food that is subject to mechanical pressure when eaten. The matt slate ceramic is the ideal choice for cheese platters, snack sausages and cold platters, as well as cold meat platters and presentation platters on buffets and in front cooking. We produce these two black slate qualities because our customers demand the very best, and we deliver. The matt slate ceramic is the hygienic and clean alternative to real slate, which is very porous and has a number of very questionable properties when used with food. Use the glossy version of slate ceramic or white slate porcelain for heavy-duty serving dishes or for use with pizza, meat dishes and similar foods.
