Line Sigma
Many hosts are always on the lookout for special serving items that emphasise the unique position of their dishes and create an important expectation and recognition value for guests. The design language of the serveware plays an important role in this. Unusual shapes set the offer apart from the ordinary and create a high degree of independence, thus adding value.
In many cases, the need to utilise the guest space as optimally as possible can only be realised with slim table dimensions. Catering space costs money and needs to be designed economically and carefully. The combination of spatial and culinary requirements has made rectangular and oval porcelain plates a popular choice for many years. However, the higher production costs associated with these shapes have made them more expensive than standard round plates.
The market is now saturated with oval and rectangular plates, which often only differ in price. This makes it challenging for businesses to find unique items that meet their specific needs. In our search for the new and unique, we came across the symbol of the Greek letter Sigma and have realised this appealing shape in white porcelain in a catering-friendly way. Although the porcelain plates create an opulent effect due to their length, the serving surfaces are more user-friendly than those of conventional plates.
