Shape Moreno
The Spanish name of "Moreno" describe the first evolution of the reactive glaze technique on High Alumina Porcelain. The name describes not only a plain brown shade, but an irregularly tanned, natural texture. As such, "Moreno" is a perfect match for this colorful line of the "Reactive Trend Collection". Moreno appears in a brown-black mottled reactive surface texture, bordered at the edge by a narrow, light brown mottled brush band. The glaze is flat and does not cause unpleasant noises or vibrations when the cutlery rubs across the surface, as is the case with similar types of porcelain.
Unlike the urban designs of trendy reactive tableware such as our Arena, Carbon, Coral or Musgo, we do not use handmade irregular shapes as the base of the porcelain, but instead we place the reactive glaze on an isostatic pressed Coupe Shape. In this way, we enable the entry of reactive dinnerware for hosts who place a high value on uniformity, low weight tolerances and, above all, a thin and fine body. Thanks to the highly resistant High Alumina porcelain, Moreno is about 500% more stable than normal hard porcelain.
The dark brown shade Moreno comes from the naturalness of our earth and thus embodies the basis of all life forms from which we get our food. Thus, on the brown High Alumina Porcelain, the colors of the food blend quite differently than on white porcelain. While the white significantly highlights and enhances the character of the food components, on Moreno they blend into a softer overall image. The green of a lettuce leaf, the yellow of a potato, and even the red of meat juices appear softer and more subtle, melding together as an orchestra of delights. Reactive porcelain of earthen colors thus serves the pleasure of sheer simplicity, grounding the food presented in a natural whole. Moreno is high-performance porcelain in a modern, trendy color look.
