Shape Active Coral

The sixth reactive glaze development on true hard porcelain is dedicated to the element of water. The Spanish name "Coral" refers to corals, the fauna that live with them, and the depth of the blue sea. Like the coral itself, the color play of the Coral series shifts from a vibrant turquoise blue to a green-blue, depending on how the light hits the matte glaze, which is speckled with hundreds of small black reactive inclusions. This blue-turquoise play of marine colors is framed by a hand-painted, subtle brown brush band that connects it to the other reactive tableware from Holst Porzellan, thus creating the concept of "Mix & Match." Each piece of the Coral series has been handmade, making it a small unique work of art. Coral represents the elements of water, flavor, and sustainability, as well as a modern spirit.

Reactive porcelain in nature-inspired colors, like the deep marine blue of the Coral series, harmonizes the enjoyment of various food components without highlighting any individual one. Therein lies the culinary secret of the reactive glazes. Light seafood, orange shrimp, crabs, and even bright red tomatoes appear softer, more subtle, and seem naturally embedded on Coral. The deep blue, however, is not exclusively for seafood but connects all types of foods with the nature-connected feelings of water, nature, sustainability, and health. It serves as the perfect platform to combine visual perception with culinary delights, thus stimulating two crucial senses.
