Basic Line plates – affordable and good

The porcelain plates of the Basic Line series represent the most affordable plate collection from Holst Porzellan, offering a "semi-professional" standard in terms of material thickness and edge impact resistance.

Basic plates are somewhat sturdier than typical household porcelain plates, yet not quite as physically resistant as the classic plates and platters made of hotel porcelain. They sit precisely between these two quality levels, making them appealing both for private households and for entry-level gastronomy.

Basic plates are designed for cost-conscious consumers, offering a good and consistently available alternative to batch merchandise. The Basic Line is produced in large quantities and may show minor variations in quality and shape. However, the design and appearance of the items remain consistent, and these variations are barely noticeable to the untrained eye.

Thanks to the hard feldspar glaze, the plates in the Basic series meet the same high standards for resistance to cutting and chemical stress (glaze corrosion) as high-quality hospitality porcelain.
