Pizza plate made from professional hard porcelain

With six different sizes, Holst Porzellan is one of the leading suppliers in the professional pizza plate segment made of white hard porcelain. In the classic Italian style, the pizza plate is produced using a moulding process as a flat, even plate with a small rim. This shape gives the pizza the necessary support on the plate, without any annoying bulges or edges to interfere with cutting and enjoying the pizza. To improve stability, we give the pizza plate additional set rings on the underside, which are subsequently polished. The white pizza plates from Holst Porzellan are of high quality and durability, dishwasher-safe, oven-safe and can be used in temperature ranges up to 300 °C as long as they are not exposed to thermal shock (from ice-cold to hot). In contrast to pizza plates made of low-fired ceramic, porcelain pizza plates are extremely impact-resistant and have a higher edge impact resistance. The formation of scratches, cracks and grooves caused by pizza wheels and pizza knives is also virtually impossible with porcelain plates under normal use.

Holst Porzellan offers pizza plates in the sizes 30 cm, 33 cm, 36 cm, 40 cm and 50 cm. The 36 cm, 40 cm and 50 cm jumbo pizza plates are designed as serving plates for family pizzas and enhance the experience of an XXL portion with their imposing appearance. The 30 cm and 33 cm sizes are designed for table service, i.e. portion pizzas. Choosing the right size of pizza plate depends on the pizza tin in which the Italian speciality is prepared. Add at least 2 cm to the size of the tin to prevent the pizza from overlapping and creating an unattractive or unprofessional appearance.

We are occasionally asked why we do not produce pizza plates with appealing decorations, such as the pizza chef, the Italian colours or the imprint with the pizza slices. The answer is very simple and emphasises our position as a professional supplier of hotel porcelain: the guest only sees the decoration after eating, under crumbs, crusts and sauce residues. Only the dishwasher knows its true appearance.



For the private consumer, the purchase of pizza plates with the sometimes funny, Italian or modern decorations makes even less sense than for restaurants. On the one hand, one of these decorations can not replace the beauty and grace of a real pizza, and on the other, many of these decorative images are very abstract and sometimes really unattractive. In any case, none of the decorations we know of on pizza plates emphasises the desire for a delicious pizza.
