Special Ovenware
Our ovenproof snail pans, crafted from white porcelain, are a premium category of specialty serving dishes. They are ideal for baking, cooking, and gratinating snail dishes. In contrast to the flat snail dishes commonly available on the market, our snail pans are crafted in the classic Tessin pan shape. Our experience has shown that flat snail dishes or snail plates are not well suited to the requirements of the upmarket catering trade in terms of appearance, heat retention and handling. In contrast, the very solid and unique snail pan with handle in the Tessin shape is a different proposition.
The snail moulds are so deep that they are ideal for preparing and serving snails with shells, the typical escargot à la bourguignonne. They are naturally shallow enough to prevent the snail shells from sinking into the hollows and making it impossible to pick them up with a snail fork. The shape also allows for the presentation of gratinated snails, which are enhanced by the elegant, rustic design of the solid snail platter.
Once cleaned, place the snail dish upright with the handle pointing upwards or leave it in the dishwasher basket for a while. Due to the production process, the handle has a small hole from which residual rinsing water can run out. Further information can be found in our product information.
