The casserole and baking dishes with a capacity of between 0.41 and 1.0 litres represent the classic oven dishes as portion sizes. This section of Holst Porzellan offers over 16 casserole dishes in a variety of heights, contents, shapes and designs. These dishes are suitable for a variety of dishes, including lasagne, quiche and pasta casseroles and risottos. The collection of portion baking moulds is available in three different materials. We offer white hard porcelain, the typical Mediterranean ceramic and modern, coloured, durable baking dishes. Please be aware of the different temperature properties. The baking dishes from Holst Porzellan have a flat base and reinforced walls, which ensure optimal performance in the oven and kitchen.
Please note that ovenproof hard porcelain is designed for use at high temperatures without direct heat irradiation. It can be used in temperature zones far above 300 °C, although we only claim a temperature resistance of up to 300 °C to be on the safe side. In fact, it can withstand much higher temperatures. It should be noted that Holst's oven porcelain, like that of most other manufacturers, is not resistant to thermal shock. It is not advisable to expose conventional oven porcelain to extreme temperature fluctuations, such as those experienced when moving from a freezer to a salamander.
In contrast, the high alumina porcelain from Holst Porzellan is thermal shock resistant up to +- 180 °C. This means that virtually every item made from this particularly stable and resilient porcelain is suitable for use in the oven and kitchen, including the baking and casserole dishes shown here.
