System Mugs
A system cup is always also a stackable cup, but a stackable cup is not always a system cup. A system cup is defined as a food distribution system that is both functional and stackable. In contrast, a stackable cup is simply a stackable item. The key quality features of a truly excellent GM cup are based on the following important functional characteristics:
- a stacking edge that is as square as possible
(this is important for the stability of the cups in a stack)
- Drainage bases with drainage grooves
(easier drainage of residual rinsing water)
- Glaze reinforcement on the stacking edges
(prevents the glaze from flaking off when stacking)
- Solid moulding of the body up to the mouth rim
(reduces edge chipping at the mouth rim)
- Hinged and overglazed handles
(reduces the bumping and chipping of the handles - handle breakage)
- Glazed rims (mouth rims)
(prevents brown and black residues of tea and caffeine)
- Solid body thickness of at least 4 mm
(reduces breakage and increases the stability of the hot beverage)
- Pure white body made from genuine feldspar porcelain
(cups containing clay, e.g. made of low-grade ceramic, reduce the detection of soiling)
- Transparent feldspar glazes
(guarantee the highest possible protection against glaze corrosion)
Drinking cups represent one of the most essential items of crockery in everyday life. While the average person uses a plate just 2.8 times a day, they use cups almost eight times as often. The mechanical and chemical impact is correspondingly higher. The combination of international production expertise and our German quality management ensures that we can offer target group-oriented quality at a competitive price.
