Line Teardrops Slim

Since 2004, the Teardrops design line has been a centerpiece of avant-garde design at Holst Porzellan. Ten years later, in 2025, we are highlighting the Slimbowls series from this trend line, achieving the perfect balance of form and function in a serving bowl.

Originally, the first series of the Teardrops design line was solely intended for the prominent presentation of culinary delights. However, many customers inspired us to create conventional serving items within the Teardrops line. Together with food experts, we then designed three bowl sizes, each dedicated to a specific group of dishes, while all offering significant uniqueness compared to traditional round or square porcelain bowls. Slimbowls are not only space-saving but also allow for creative arrangements such as food and sauce cabarets, bowl flowers, and Yin-Yang buffet setups when grouped together.

Beyond their versatility, the design of the porcelain bowls is extraordinary and captivating. Every viewing angle offers a new impression and shifts perception. The walls of the bowls, flowing upward from the inside out in a seamless motion, combined with the signature pointed shape of the Teardrops line, give the Slimbowls a distinctive character.

The smallest Slimbowl, measuring 14 cm with a 150 ml capacity, is perfect as a sauce boat, sauce dispenser, or appetizer bowl for finger food, small starters, and dessert variations.

The medium-sized 25 cm bowl, with a 0.5 l capacity, provides an elegant setting for innovative appetizers, salads, or desserts. Combined with the large 36 cm bowl, it can also impressively serve side dishes.

The 36 cm, 1,800 ml Slimbowl offers the capacity of a large salad bowl with reduced space requirements, serving potatoes, vegetables, and all kinds of sides for 4 to 6 people. In events and banquets, the bowl is perfect as a buffet bowl and can be decorated in various ways. Private individuals often use this bowl outside of dining as a decorative bowl. Those looking to gift style and taste often use it as a champagne bowl.

All three bowls are made from high-quality feldspar porcelain with medium shard thickness. The material and the high firing temperature of 1,320 °C give the bowl the durability and resistance that professional hosts expect. In terms of usability, Slimbowls offer everything a professional bowl needs: longevity, dishwasher resistance, microwave suitability, as well as high hygienic and thermal stability, even against corrosion. The bowls can be partially stacked but should not exceed a quantity of 6.
