Line Bateau Boats
The Bateau bowl shape is a design inspired by the ancient barques on the Seine (French: bateau), which in turn is inspired by the leaf (French: feuille) of the walnut tree. Holst Porzellan produces three variants of the boat shape, each with a distinct focus.
- Bateau boat bowls: a smooth, narrow shape
- Bateau switch bowls: with a serving handle
- Bateau flag bowls: with a wide bowl rim
The smooth, steeply rising wall gives the Bateau boat bowls the unique feature of offering the largest serving volume in the smallest space.
- Example BAT 239: Three salads, each weighing 1.5 kg, can be presented in a buffet space of just 40 x 50 cm. - Example BAT 230: The serving capacity of the Bateau boat bowls are 600 g potatoes, 400 g dumplings, and 500 g red cabbage (3 x 0.80 l) on 38 x 31 cm on the table.
