Pots
The table pot, used as an instrument for making brewed coffee in conjunction with a coffee filter, and as a serving pot for hot coffee by placing it on a small stove... it has almost become extinct and is now regarded as an anachronistic memento of grandparents and great-grandparents.
In contrast, the teapot still enjoys a certain popularity among connoisseurs, as its function in preparing and serving tea specialties has not yet been replaced by semi-professional fully automatic machines, espresso machines, or coffee makers such as those from Jura, Miele, Saeco, Siemens, or DeLonghi.
Only in the commercial sector in hotels, cafés, and restaurants are coffee and teapots still occasionally considered as part of the classic serving ware, which, however, must usually match the porcelain series used, such as those from Villeroy & Boch, Bauscher, Schönwald, and many other brands of hotel porcelain.
For this reason, the range of coffee and teapots at Holst Porzellan is very streamlined and no longer falls within our immediate core competence. The total number of pots has simply been replaced by the many modern coffee specialties produced by the small super machines. In the past, the host would ask "would you like tea or coffee". Today, he asks, "would you like espresso, cappuccino or milk coffee".
