Holst Porzellan combines different types of porcelain and ceramic tableware in several quality levels within a collection of around 4,000 articles and ideas. In this way, we cover the needs of professional hosts from the solid entry-level segment through to the upscale premium segment.

Holst Porzellan combines various types of porcelain and ceramic tableware in a collection of around 4,000 articles and ideas, divided into a total of four quality levels. This range fully covers requirements from ** to ****.

As a professional supplier of porcelain and ceramics for the entire spectrum of gastronomy and communal catering, we adapt our products as well as possible to the requirements of our customers. The overall collection of Holst Porzellan is based on the right combination of customer expectation, quality, price and design.

For laypeople, the differences between ceramic qualities are often only perceptible upon critical inspection and are difficult to understand. Many material properties are the inevitable result of the raw materials used and the firing temperature, which define the essential characteristics of the respective ceramic classification.

In brief: true porcelain quality

The true quality of porcelain does not lie solely in a flawless surface, but above all in the functional and practical properties that result from raw materials, firing temperature, density and sintering.

Material quality and practical value

The true quality of porcelain is not found in a hand-sorted selection of tableware items with completely flawless surfaces, but in the unique functional and practical properties that can only result from the combination of kaolin, quartz and feldspar at a temperature above 1,320 °C.

Our qualities correspond to a needs-based selection. What we openly state here will be confirmed by every industry professional: anything made from natural mineral raw materials, partly shaped by hand and shrunk, fired and manufactured at more than 1,320 °C, can never be 100% perfect. Porcelain is natural and not plastic.

The material designations of Holst Porcelain

Our aim is to offer the different target groups of professional hosts the desired price-performance ratio while making the best possible use of the advantages of each material type. High heat retention cannot be achieved with thin Bone China porcelain, and rich, vividly coloured decoration cannot be achieved on a thick-walled feldspar kiln body.

In order to respond optimally and individually to our customers’ needs and requirements, Holst Porzellan offers different types of porcelain and ceramics.

This enables us, much like automobile manufacturers, to serve our customers with one brand across different market segments, from entry-level to premium.

Different materials, shared use

What is special is that the white tableware of the different ceramic types can be used together, as they are difficult to distinguish from one another externally. Coloured trend and special collections can in any case be integrated effortlessly into modern serving concepts.
